Australian Government. AusAID: Office of Development Effectiveness

ODE Publications

ODE publications evaluate and provide recommendations for a more effective Australian aid program. Publications present ODE analysis and findings in the following ways.

ODE Evaluates the effectiveness and impact of Australian aid to partner countries and priority sectors. ODE evaluations and reviews are substantial pieces of work, often led by internationally-recognised experts, and underpinned by literature reviews, working papers, fieldwork and in-depth case studies.

ODE Briefs you on key findings and emerging themes from ODE’s in-depth evaluations as well as international debate on effectiveness issues. ODE Briefs are sharp, focused and generally no more than four pages long.

And in our podcast series, ODE Talks to international experts about aid, effectiveness and the latest findings from ODE’s evaluations and analysis.

ODE Updates is a quarterly email newsletter, and a great way to keep in touch with our latest evaluations, reviews, briefs and podcasts.

From 2007-09, ODE’s flagship Annual Review of Development Effectiveness (ARDE) was tabled in parliament and provided an account of the aid program’s performance to the Australian Government and people.
